The total values of (a) the exports and (b) the imports, during the year 1939, were:—Live animals: exports, £14,252,255, imports, £970,970; foodstuffs of animal origin: exports, £6,968,948, imports, £551,040; cereals and feeding stuffs: exports, £122,995, imports, £5,644,289. In the year 1939, the total value of the imports of sugar was £412,093, and of "fruit, vegetables, etc.," £1,506,101.
