asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the name and location of each creamery which failed or refused to respond to the Government requisition regarding the milk supply to Dublin during the period of the milk strike in November, 1939; if any of these creameries has been penalised as a result of this failure or refusal, and, if so, if he will state the amount of the fine in each case.

As the reply to the Deputy's question involves a lengthy statement, I am having it circulated with the Official Report.
As this is an important question I object to the answer being circulated. I had expected to get a reply in the House.
The Deputy will receive a copy of the reply.
I was anxious to put a supplementary question and possibly there is no chance of raising it otherwise.
It would take a very long time to read out the reply.
I think it is unfair that a reply should not be given in the House to an important question like this.
The Deputy can ask a supplementary question to-morrow by way of another Parliamentary question.
