I move that the Dáil agree with the Seanad in the following amendments:—
1. Section 2. In sub-section (1), page 2, line 55, after the word "Act" the words "and before the 3rd day of September, 1941," inserted.
2. Section 2. In sub-section (1), page 3, line 11, after the word "may" the words ", at any time before the 3rd day of September, 1941," inserted.
These two amendments were inserted on my suggestion in the Seanad. Their effect is to make this a temporary measure. My own opinion was that it should be left permanent but the Leader of the Labour Party expressed a wish to have it made temporary. In order to meet his views, I am moving that the Dáil agree with these two amendments which were inserted in the Seanad.
