Vol. 91 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service Pensions Act.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state when a decision will be conveyed to Mr. Peter Dunne, Toolstown, Maynooth, County Kildare, on his application for a pension under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934.

A notification that he was not a person to whom the Act applies was addressed on the 10th March, 1942, to Mr. Peter Dunne, at Toolstown, Maynooth, County Kildare, which is the address given by him on his application form.

Will the Minister arrange to have that decision communicated to the man at his new address?

It was communicated to the address which I have given and we assumed, as it was not returned by the Post Office, that it was delivered.

The last letter the applicant had from the Minister is dated 30th January, 1936—there was no other communication.

We have no knowledge of a new address.

If I supply the new address to the Minister will he do as I have suggested?

I will, certainly.
