Vol. 91 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Construction of Slip at Howth.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when the Office of Public Works intend to start the work for the construction of a slip at Howth Harbour, and if he is aware that plans and estimates for this work have been prepared and have remained in the hands of the Office of Public Works for a considerable time past.

Although tentative plans and estimates have been prepared for the proposed slipway at Howth Harbour working plans and firm estimates have not been made, because essential materials which would be required for the scheme are unobtainable in present conditions. Consideration of the proposal has, therefore, been deferred during the present emergency.
