Vol. 92 No. 17

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Managers' Fidelity Bonds.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if all the county managers have taken out fidelity bonds with insurance companies; if so, the amount of the bond in each case and by whom are the premiums on the bonds paid; also, who are named as payees in these bonds.

Not yet, but the matter is to be dealt with under Article 25 of the Local Government (Officers) Regulations, which I have recently made under the Local Government Act, 1941. The new regulations provide that every local authority shall pay the premiums on the fidelity bonds of their officers.
