The number of applications received for the position of branch manager of the Department's local office at Kenmare was 22. The qualifications of the candidates were given in the application forms submitted by them and in the course of interviews conducted by officers of the Department appointed for that purpose, at which 17 candidates presented themselves. The particulars furnished by the candidates are confidential and cannot be disclosed. The appointment was made by the selection of the person considered most suitable and best qualified for the position.
