On the 22nd February, 1945, 247 men and 32 women resident in the town of Wexford were in receipt of unemployment assistance at Wexford Employment Exchange; 86 men and nine women resident in the town of Enniscorthy, and 59 men and eight women resident in the town of New Ross were in receipt of unemployment assistance at the respective branch employment offices on the same date.
