Vol. 98 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Blacksmiths' Coal.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that the coal supplied to blacksmiths at present is of a very inferior quality and entirely unsuitable for heavy and important work these tradesmen have to perform; and, if so, if he will take all possible steps immediately to procure coal of a better quality for this important and essential industry.

The Deputy may rest assured that no opportunity is lost of pressing for an improvement in the quality of the coal supplies necessary to meet the requirements of blacksmiths and other industrial consumers. In the meantime as special smiths' coal is unobtainable blacksmiths must adapt themselves to the use of such coal as is available.
