Vol. 99 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pensions for County Council Workers.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he intends to introduce, during the present session of Dáil Eireann, the promised legislation dealing with pensions for all classes of county council workers.

Owing to heavy pressure of legislative work in relation to the local government and public health measures at present before the House it was not found possible to proceed with the consideration of the proposed Superannuation Bill. Every endeavour will be made to have it ready for introduction before midsummer, but I am not in a position to give a definite date, and it must be understood that priority may have to be given to other pressing matters of more general interest.
