Vol. 100 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Holding.

asked the Minister for Lands whether Mr. Flannery offered to the Land Commission his holding at Corralea, Lavally, Record No. S.3260, Quintin Dick Estate, County Galway; and if such offer was refused by the Land Commission.

Patrick Flannery offered his holding at Corralea on the Quintin Dick Estate, Record No. S.3260, County Galway, to the Land Commission in exchange for other lands of equal value on an estate not in the possession of the Land Commission but for the acquisition of which it was understood that the Land Commission was proceeding. The Land Commission decided not to sanction the exchange but to continue proceedings for resumption of the holding.

Therefore, it was offered. I was correct a week ago.

I would not say offered. There was an application for transfer.

The Minister said now that it was offered. It was offered 11 years ago, through William J. Concannon, Tuam.

Eleven years ago, Patrick Flannery asked to be transferred from his holding in Corralea to another holding which the Land Commission did not own.

Therefore, it was offered.

Conditionally.
