Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that approximately 70 acres of land situated at Caranahan, Balla, County Mayo, Lynch Blosse Estate (known as Ballinamona), the property of the late William Reilly, has been untenanted for a number of years, and if he will proceed to acquire same immediately for the relief of local congestion.

The Land Commission are having inquiries made regarding the lands of Caranahan owned by the representatives, William Reilly, deceased, but they are not in a position to state if proceedings will be instituted for the acquisition of the lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will take steps to acquire the holding containing approximately ten acres, situated at Carrowbeg East, Dean Macken Estate, Claremorris, County Mayo, formerly the property of the late Andrew Hill, Claremorris, and utilise same to relieve local congestion.

The Land Commission do not propose to take any action regarding the acquisition of the lands of Carrowbeg East, containing ten acres, owned by Andrew Hill.
