Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Infectious Diseases.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will furnish lists of the diseases which it is his intention to declare to be infectious diseases for the purposes of the various sections of the Public Health Bill, 1945.

The several lists of diseases which it is tentatively proposed to declare to be infectious diseases for the purposes of the sections referred to will, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, be circulated in the Official Report. These lists may be subject to further review before Orders are finally made. It will be observed that the list of diseases which are to be declared infectious for the purpose of Section 19 includes all dis eases to be declared infectious under Section 18 (1) of the Bill. The reference to Section 19 is to the section as introduced. The diseases which may be declared infectious for the purpose of the additional provisions proposed to be incorporated in Section 19 under amendment No. 103 are under consideration.
