There are 3,735 married women teachers and 3,123 single women teachers paid directly by my Department. It is not possible to state how many women teachers are widows. The figure for married women teachers includes widowed teachers.

The total number of male teachers who are paid directly by my Department is 3,962. Of this number 1,187 are rated highly efficient.
