The average yields of wheat grown in Éire in the years 1940-44 are published in the Statistical Abstract, 1945, page 54, and the figures for 1944 and 1945 are given in the March, 1946, issue of the Irish Trade Journal and Statistical Bulletin, page 46. The figure for 1945 was 17.3 cwt. per acre.
Of course, that bears no relation to the fact at all. The Minister knows that.
