Vol. 101 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Tipperary Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what steps have been taken by the Land Commission to acquire the Price estate, Colraine, Cashel, County Tipperary, for division amongst the uneconomic holders, landless men and cottage holders of the district; and if he is aware that the lands are deteriorating due to intensive wheat cultivation.

The position regarding the Price estate has not altered since my reply to the Deputy's previous question, on 3rd July, 1945. In present circumstances, it is not possible to say when it will be feasible to consider whether these lands or any portion of them should be acquired.
