Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Provision of Turbary for Mayo Tenants.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that approximately 30 tenants in the townlands of Cross, Ballymacgibbon, Dowagh, Knock, Cordroon, Carheens and Gortacurra are at present without turbary plots; and if he will consider acquiring a bog on the Dalgan estate to relieve the plight of these tenants.

The acquisition of the lands and turbary owned by Messrs. Thomas McDonagh and Son at Dalgan demesne and Carrowmore is at present under consideration. Local requirements will be duly considered.
