It is estimated provisionally that the total acreage sown to wheat during the present year was 670,000 acres. It is not yet possible to estimate the quantity of imported wheat which will be required in the coming cereal year as this will depend on a number of factors not yet known. The figure will probably be about 200,000 tons.
