Vol. 104 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands if it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire, for division, the Hilltown Estate, near Garristown, County Dublin.

I presume the Deputy is referring to the farm of Mr. George Mullan at Hilltown, County Meath, about two miles north of Garristown. There are no proceedings pending for the acquisition of this farm.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the exact position in regard to the Lambert Estate, Grace Dieu, Ballyboughal; and further, if this land will be divided among the uneconomic holders and landless men in North County Dublin.

Proceedings have been instituted by the Land Commission and are continuing, for the resumption of the holding of Richard Taylor—successor in title to Robert Lambert—in the townland of Grace Dieu. It has not, so far, been possible to bring these proceedings to a conclusion. If and when the lands are divided, due consideration will be given to the claims of deserving applicants.
