Vol. 108 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mayo Congestion.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that congestion exists in the townlands of Derrowel, Acres, Coolaghbawn, Facefield and Ballyduff; and if he will state what steps have been taken to end this congestion.

The Land Commission are aware of the existence of congestion in the area in question and with a view to its relief they have already resumed one holding in the townland of Facefield and have taken steps for the resumption of two others in the townland of Facefield and two in Coolaghbawn. Proceedings are also in progress which aim at making land available for the purpose of local migration to benefit this area.
