The erection of houses in Blanchardstown and Saggart must await the provision of water and sewerage services in these areas. Negotiations for the acquisition of a site in Lucan are in progress. Efforts are being made to secure a better site in Clondalkin than the site acquired in 1937. The Tallaght site was included in a compulsory purchase Order, the validity of which the owner has questioned in the High Court, and a settlement of the case has not yet been reached. It is not possible at present to forecast accurately when the work of construction can commence in any of these areas.
