Mr. Little

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state the rates of pay and the incremental progress of clerks and postmen Grade A and Grade B and male night telephonists.

The information requested in this question is given in the form of a tabular statement, which, with An Ceann Comhairle's permission and the Deputy's consent, will be circulated to the Deputy and inserted in the records of the House.

	In addition to the above, officers under 21 years of age receive 5s. 6d. a week extra and officers over 21, 11s. a week extra when their remuneration does not exceed £350 per annum.
	The scales for officers entering the Service subsequent to 1 Eanair, 1947, are slightly lower—the maximum in each case being indicated below:—
