Vol. 112 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clondalkin Cottages.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will direct the Dublin County Council to erect 100 cottages in or near Clondalkin village in view of the increased population and the serious lack of housing accommodation there.

Mr. Murphy

The Dublin County Council are at present engaged in the preparation of plans for two cottage schemes in the Clondalkin area which will comprise up to 60 cottages. The sites for these schemes have been acquired while negotiations for the acquisition of further sites in the area are in progress. The Deputy can rest assured that I am personally interested in the progress being made in the provision of cottages in this area and in the other portions of the county where cottages are required.
