Vol. 113 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Minor Employment Grants.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that with the exception of the allocation of three minor relief schemes to the Curron and Farranfore areas, no minor relief grants have been allocated to East Kerry, Killarney and Kenmare; and if, in view of the unemployment position in these areas, he will take steps to allocate grants at the earliest possible date.

The usual winter programme of minor employment schemes has already commenced in County Kerry, and grants proportionate to the number of unemployment assistance receipients have been made in qualifying electoral divisions.

If the Deputy will specify the particular electoral division or divisions he has in mind, I shall have the position furthed examined.
