asked the Minister for Finance whether he will state the number of minor relief schemes, pear development schemes, and rural employment schemes operated in each electoral division in the rural districts of Tuam, Glenamaddy and Mountbellew, County Galway, in the period 1st April, 1948, to date, and the estimated expenditure for that period; if, further, he will furnish the same information in respect of the same period in 1947.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Schemes.
There are some 68 separate electoral divisions in the three rural districts referred to by the Deputy, and records are not kept in my office in such a way as to afford the information asked for without a disproportionate expenditure of the time of my staff. I can, however, inform the Deputy of the number and amounts of the grants sanctioned in the period referred to in each of the rural districts in question.
As the reply is in the form of a schedule, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report.
