Statistics of tinned meat exports are not recorded separately. 7,129 cwts. of beef, tinned, canned or bottled, were exported during August-October, 1948, inclusive, to Great Britain, and 3,975 cwts. to other European countries. There were no exports of tinned, canned or bottled meats other than beef.
These figures do not include exports for relief to Europe.
Will the Parliamentary Secretary state how the prices paid by continental countries compare with prices paid in Great Britain?
