An application has been received from the Fermoy Urban District Council for the use of portion of the New Barracks, Fermoy, for housing purposes. The application has been examined with a view to seeing to what extent it can be met, in addition to providing for military requirements within the barracks. Arrangements will be made for the surrender to the Commissioners of Public Works of the premises surplus to military requirements for leasing, subject to certain conditions, to the council for housing purposes.
