Vol. 114 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Uniforms to Park Officials.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that there is general dissatisfaction amongst the uniformed officials employed by the Office of Public Works at Phoenix Park and the War Memorial Park concerning the issue of uniforms and boots, the interval of time between issues being longer than the average period of wear; and, if so, whether he will take steps to see that more frequent issues are made.

I am not aware that there is general dissatisfaction amongest the uniformed officials employed by the Office of Public Works at the Phnix Park and the War Memorial Park concerning the issue of uniforms and boots. There were, of course, inevitable delays during the late emergency in these issues to State employees generally, but there has been some improvement in the position.
