asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is prepared to introduce proposals for legislation requiring that all motor vehicles should be fitted with an approved dimming device owing to the ineffectiveness of the present fittings on certain classes of motor vehicles.

Regulations made by me on the 6th July last provide that every vehicle shall be fitted with a device for dimming the front lamps so that they cannot cause dazzle at a greater distance that 25 feet.
