Vol. 118 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Park Playing Grounds—Pavilion Accommodation.

asked the Minister for Finance whether, in view of the inadequacy of dressing-room accommodation at the playing grounds in the Phoenix Park, he will take immediate steps to have several more pavilions provided there.

Dressing-room facilities on a reasonably generous scale have been provided for those using the playing pitches in the Phoenix Park and I am not prepared, under present circumstances, to agree to any further expenditure of State funds on additions to them.

The Football Association of Ireland has been informed that we would be prepared to consider the allocation of site accommodation if they wish to erect additional dressing-rooms similar to those already provided by the State.

Mr. A. Byrne

Would the Minister not consider it advisable to ask assistance from the tuberculosis section of the Hospitals Trust in order to prevent tuberculosis among the thousands of children who strip there and leave their clothes on the wet grass?
