The number of applications for pre-truce service medals awaiting decision is 21,718. The number of cases in which awards of medals have been authorised but in which medals have not been issued is 1,382. The medals in these cases are in course of issue at the moment and it is anticipated that the issue of all medals authorised will be completed at an early date.
