The preparation of lay-out plans for the Cloghan housing scheme which was held up due to an appeal against Offaly County Health District Labourers Order, 1947, by the owner of the site, is now in progress as a settlement has been reached and approved. It is understood that the plans will be submitted for approval at an early date. I am not, however, in a position to indicate at this stage when work on the scheme will commence.
