Vol. 119 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Telephone Services.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that, owing to the discontinuance of telephone services to The Glen, Emlaghmore district, and Kate Kearney's Cottage, Dunloe district, serious inconvenience and hardship are being caused to the general public and particularly to the residents of these areas, and whether he will restore these services at the earliest possible date.

Telephone service was suspended because the subscribers failed to fulfil the terms of the contracts governing the provision of the two telephone exchange lines in question. The question of restoring service will be considered when these terms are fulfilled.
