asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the rates of wages paid to forestry workers in (1) Laoighis, and (2) Offaly, on April 1st, 1948, and the rates proposed to be paid in the same counties from April 1st, 1950.

Forestry labourers in Laoighis and Offaly were paid at the rate of 57/- a week at the 1st April, 1948. They will be paid at the rate of 65/- a week in both counties as from the 1st April, next.
