asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the proportion of road work which will be carried out by contract in County Sligo in the coming year.
I understand that the county council have decided on letting the maintenance of approximately 25 per cent. of the county roads to local contractors. In addition one main road improvement work of a special type will also be carried out by contract.
