Vol. 120 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Baldoyle (County Dublin) Housing Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether a site to accommodate council houses near Baldoyle has been acquired from Dr. Fitzsimons and paid for, and if he will now indicate the date on which it is expected that Dublin County Council will be in a position to invite tenders for their erection.

The site referred to is included with three other sites in a Compulsory Purchase Order submitted by the Dublin County Council for confirmation. Objections were lodged against the acquisition of certain sites, including the site at Baldoyle. An inquiry has been held and my decision on the Order will issue in a few days. The question of inviting tenders for building on any site the acquisition of which is confirmed can then be considered by the local authority.
