Vol. 121 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Minor Relief Grants.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider making a minor relief grant available for the repair of the road from Slattery's House, Cloonfane, to Nester's House at Quinaltagh, E.D. Addergoole, in view of the very bad condition of this road.

As I informed the Deputy in reply to his previous question on the same subject on the 1st December last, the only application recently received by me for works on this road was from Messrs. William Connolly and John Kerrigan, Cloonfane, Garrafrauns, Tuam, County Galway. Since that time an inspection has been made, and the case will be considered on its merits in competition with any other proposals for the same area when the programme for the coming winter's employment schemes is being prepared. I will inform the interested parties if I find it possible to sanction a grant.
