Vol. 121 No. 16

Questions— Oral Answers. - Telephone Installation.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he can yet state the position regarding the installation of a telephone in Newbridge Post Office, Ballinasloe, County Galway

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange to have a telephone installed in (a) Clonbern P.O., Ballinasloe, and (b) Glynsk P.O., County Galway.

I propose, with your permission, Sir, to take questions Nos. 10 and 11 together.

I would refer the Deputy to the general statement on the Department's call office scheme made by me on the 18th April, 1950, in reply to a question by Deputy Madden on the subject of a call office at Carrigkerry, Co. Limerick.

Newbridge (Ballinasloe), Clonbern (Ballinasloe) and Glynsk (Castlerea) are not included in the call office programme for the year ending the 31st March, 1951.
