Vol. 122 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Hill and Mountain Survey (Kerry).

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state whether a survey has yet been made of the hill and mountain grazing of Kerry with a view to the fertilisation of these grasslands, and, if so, when his proposed scheme in connection with the matter is likely to come into operation.

A general survey, including County Kerry, of the hill and mountain grazing problem has been made. The report is not yet available, but it may be assumed that proposals are likely to involve a good deal of experimental work. I am not, therefore, yet in a position to state when a general scheme for County Kerry will be brought into operation.
