Following is the statement:—
The expression "each western county" in the question has been taken as relating to the province of Connacht. Detailed records of expenditure prior to the financial year 1932-33 are not available in my office, but apart from that the following is the information asked for. (The figures quoted for 1949-50 are subject to final check and audit.)
