Vol. 123 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meath Grazing Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands whether in connection with the serious shortage of milk for the people of the village of Summerhill, Enfield, County Meath, he is aware that the cow plot in that area is not fulfilling the rôle for which it was established, and is in the hands of men who have Land Commission farms and who graze dry stock and not cows there and whether, in view of this abuse and the hardship caused to the poor people who are denied the grazing of a cow on this plot, he will have the whole position reviewed and a new committee formed.

The Land Commission have not received any representations regarding the use of the cow plot in question but I have asked them to investigate the matter.
