asked the Minister for Lands if he will ascertain from the Land Commission and state (a) when the lands held for subdivision in West Cork will be divided; (b) whether any land is in process of acquisition, and (c) whether any future acquisition is contemplated.

(a) Arrangements are being made for the allotment of approximately 400 acres in West Cork. A further 1,800 acres were recently acquired but it is not possible to state whether these lands will be allotted.
(b) and (c). The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of some 900 acres, and have under consideration the question of acquiring a further 1,375 acres in West Cork.
