asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he has satisfied himself that it is desirable that the manufacture of cycles and cycle frames should be undertaken in Ireland, and if he will state in this regard what report, if any, has been made to his Department by the Industrial Development Authority.

I am satisfied that it is desirable that the manufacture of cycles and cycle frames should be undertaken in this country. There are various proposals in this regard before the Industrial Development Authority, but they have not yet reached a sufficient stage of finality to enable me to give particulars of them.
