The total amount advanced since 1st April, 1948, from the Transition Development Fund to Ceimící, Teo., is £2,144 3s. 4d. This amount was advanced to meet expenditure in respect of research work on the production of a gas engine or internal combustion engine which would run on a mixture of alcohol and water and on the designing of an alcohol plant consuming from 500 to 1,000 tons of potatoes or beet per annum. A sum of £500 realised on the sale of certain equipment purchased in connection with the research work has been paid back to the Transition Development Fund.
