(1) Imports of wheat, including wheat for seed, in the year ended 31st March, 1950, amounted to 150,143 tons, at an average price (c.i.f.) of £26 18s. 8d. per ton; (2) on the basis of a price of 62/6 per barrel to the grower, the average cost to the miller of dried native wheat in the same period was approximately £29 per ton.
