asked the Minister for Local Government whether it is the policy of his Department that Irishmade material must be used in the building of houses on which the Government grant is payable.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Use of Irish Material in Houses.
It is the established policy of my Department to ensure that materials of Irish origin or manufacture are used as far as possible in the erection or reconstruction of houses for which grants are paid under the Housing Acts. The policy is embodied in the statutory regulations which govern the making of grants.
