asked the Taoiseach if he will state the estimated number of the population of the Twenty-Six Counties (a) under the age of 14 years; (b) between 15 and 65 years, and (c) over 65 years in each of the years 1901, 1911, 1926, 1936 and 1946 and the percentage distribution of the population in these age groups for each of these years.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the desired information.
