Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made in connection with the acquisition of the following estates in County Roscommon: (i) the Brown estate at Mountbrown or Falsk, and (ii) the Hauley estate, Naduaveigh.

Proceedings have been instituted for the acquisition of these estates. The owners have lodged objections which will come for hearing in due course. It is not possible at this stage to say what the outcome will be.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the steps, if any, which have been taken to acquire the Killian estate at Creeve, Ballydooley, County Roscommon.

The Land Commission have decided to take no action for the present for the acquisition of this estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the present position regarding the acquisition of the Doorly estate, Ballyfinegan, Ballintubber, County Roscommon.

The position is that an objection to acquisition has been disallowed in respect of most of the lands and agreement has been reached on the price of part of the lands now being acquired.
