asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the average number of persons employed weekly, distinguishing between males and females, as derived from the net contribution income of the National Health Insurance Fund in the years 1949 and 1950.

The particulars of the net contribution income on which the estimate for 1950 has been made are provisional. The figures for 1950 may, therefore, be subject to revision.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the average number of persons employed weekly in occupations insurable under the Unemployment Insurance Acts, in 1949 and 1950 as calculated from the net unemployment insurance income.

The figures which the Deputy asks for are: 1949, 341,300; 1950, 355,600. These are estimated averages, and that for 1950 is based on figures which are still provisional.
