asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the estimated amount of the weekly contribution which would provide actuarially for retirement pensions under the terms of the Social Welfare (Insurance) (No. 2) Bill, 1950.
Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Retirement Pensions Contributions.
I would refer the Deputy to the reply which I gave to a question from him on last Wednesday in which I stated that estimates on the basis indicated have not been made. In my reply I gave details of the basis of assessment and subject to that information the allocation, in respect of retirement pension, of the ordinary rates of contribution in respect of entrants at the age of 16 is 3/9½d. in the case of a man and 1/7 in the case of a woman.
